This song has brought me an odd comfort over all these years, the melody reaches the depths of my pain and makes me feel less alone

@EVERYONE, hear me out for a bit. Please stop invalidating what others are going through. Please stop making this about yourselves. Please stop comparing your stories with others' stories. The truth is, you DON'T know what others are going through, and you DON'T have the same experiences due to the fact alone that we are all different in every single sense; we all feel in different intensity, we all have different levels of strength and resources and adaptability... It may temporarily help some that can bounce back with kind words, but I guarantee you, words can only do so much before they start getting old. People say pretty things, make empty promises, 'predict' the future of *strangers* no less, _all the time,_ and then pat themselves on the back as if they're the heroes the world needs. You're not, WE are not. Our civilization is too ruined to be redeemed. Best hope is to make it so future civilizations don't need to clean up after our unholy mess. Life sucks: some are lucky, some are not. And then you die. *BUT you do have options:* -> You can choose to ignore/work around life's shit, -> Learn to use it to help rebuild The Forests of Life, -> Let it consume you and live among the stench, -> Or just press ALT+CTRL+DEL and reset your game (here's hoping we have lots of quarters left.) While our biological purpose here is to better the generations through DNA transfer, what's truly important is to pass down *knowledge.* So, if you really want to help others and yourselves, you can start by acknowledging your Self, acknowledging others' Self (and yes, mental disorders are included), accept and respect your Selves, accept and respect others' Selves, and bit by bit, begin ridding the world of ignorance, impatience, selfishness, and miscommunication -and while you're at it, toxic religion needs to go YESTERDAY.- No matter how many pills, how many treatments, how many groups, doctors, or books you go through, if you don't take that first *IMPOSSIBLE* step, your Turn will never start, and you'll find yourself left behind, watching so many racers reach The Grand Finish Line and win those shiny medals. You, along with MANY other stagnant racers, including myself, *need* to get to the finish line and get those medals as well, even if they're just crummy participation medals. That's good enough; you'd have done your part, and then, others will be encouraged and inspired to follow just by having seen you push through and *make it* to The End.

the feeling of the person you love drifting away is fucking brutal. Don't beat yourself up too much, i've been doing that for years and its pointless. i tried my best to show her she meant the whole world to me, but her heart wasn't in it anymore and thats life. but i didn't think when i used to listen to this as a young guy, i would still be listening to this and crying my eyes out at 41. I'm just trying to enjoy my life alone, but it ain't the same as when i was loved and that's hard to take sometimes. That's what this song is for, it makes me feel better somehow after i've tortured myself with buried memories for a while.
